Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province Rah Lan Chung paid a business visit to with HAGL Joint Stock Company
In an attempt to comprehend the production and business activities as well as listen to the thoughts and aspirations of enterprises, on the afternoon of January 3rd , in Pleiku City, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung met with the leaders of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group (HAGL). On behalf of HAGL Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors Doan Nguyen Duc and General Director Nguyen Xuan Thang attended the meeting.
At the meeting, BOD Chairman Doan Nguyen Duc presented that after more than 30 years of establishment and development, Hoang Anh Gia Lai is now specializing in agriculture with a vision to become a leading enterprise in Vietnam. Since 2007, the Group has focused on investing in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia with bananas, durian and pig farming as flagship products
Accordingly, banana is HAGL strategic product grown on a total area of 7,000 hectares exported to the markets of China, Japan, and Korea. Recently, the Group’s high-quality bananas have targeted domestic consumers.
Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc said that durian crop not only delivers high economic value but also contributes to promoting the brand of Vietnamese agro products in international markets.
For banana-fed pig farming, HAGL has built modern, closed livestock housing system that meet biosafety and environmental hygiene standards.
Along with production and business activities, HAGL Group always focuses on sustainable development, environmental protection and positively contributes to social security and sports in Gia Lai province, and other localities as well as Laos and Cambodia, two neighboring countries.
Chairman of Gia Lai People's Committee Rah Lan Chung highly appreciated the HAGL Group contributions to the socio-economic development of the home province. HAGL not only creates more than 10,000 jobs for local people, Laos and Cambodia but also contributes to promoting the export of agro products of Vietnam. The Chairman of Gia Lai province stressed that in the context of many fluctuations in the global economy, maintaining stable production and sustainable development is extremely important. The provincial government pledged support to HAGL Group in removing difficulties and obstacles.
Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc expressed hope of receiving support from the provincial government in improving infrastructure, especially the traffic system to facilitate the transport and export of goods. HAGL Group is committed to continuing to promote its strengths, expand production scale and increase the value of and agro products of Vietnam as well as Central Highlands in the domestic and international markets.
